About the Position

Invenergy is a growth-oriented company that continues to expand its development of renewable energy sites. Invenergy seeks a Technology Infrastructure Portfolio Manager to be responsible for managing the technology program delivery of new generation sites. The Technology Infrastructure Portfolio Manager will be responsible for leading this large-scale program that includes a significant number of generation sites (both substations and Operations & Management sites). This role entails managing the overall program and some individual projects, and will significantly contribute to IT program and project management processes, metrics, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Drive large, complex, cross-functional program ensuring coordination of shared resources, common activities, and other dependencies across the project portfolio. Establish common processes, templates, tools, and metrics that enable transparent project management and reporting. Establish program governance processes that enable timely decision making, issue escalation, and resolution. Identify, monitor, and mitigate program & project risks and assess impact to the overall program and portfolio. Plan and lead portfolio and project planning sessions. Develop & maintain high-level milestone and resource plans using current portfolio, program, and project status, pipeline information, historical information, and other available data. Identify and handle dependencies between resources and projects to ensure program outcomes align with stakeholder expectations. Drive the program and project and activities to achieve measurable outcomes by managing portfolio schedule, resource, scope, deliverables, budget, risk, issue, dependency, vendor relationship and communications. Manage, coach, and develop other project managers.

Required Skills:

Technology project, program, and portfolio management experience. Project management skills: create and execute project plans, proactively manage risks/issues, maintain compliance with project management processes, an eye for detail, independently maintain project documentation, drive follow-up on open actions etc. Excellent oral and written communication skills: Identifies opportunities or problems and acts quickly and decisively to respond to the situation. Ability to drive productive conversations and team meetings. Active listening skills. Excellent People skills: a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve conflict, be able to work with cross-functional teams. Strong team player, able to foster teamwork, collaboration and a positive working environment to the project team. Analytical skills: ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop alternatives and recommend sound decisions. Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem. Strong leadership, oral and written communication, and presentation skills to a variety of stakeholders. Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. Ability to adapt quickly to new and changing business and technical environments. Adept at articulating technical implications to business users/stakeholders. Track record of managing large program and concurrent multiple projects. Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and juggle competing demands. A history of mentoring and/or teaching others around work plan development, rogress tracking, time tracking, status reporting, and risk management. High degree of professionalism and integrity.

Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor's degree. 8+ years of project management experience with at least 5 years in a program management and portfolio management role. Experience, familiarity, and exposure to providing enterprise IT infrastructure to new construction and/or existing sites. Experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and a blend of both methodologies. Adept at usage of various tools such as Microsoft Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Project. Experience with industry standard project management tools. PMP or equivalent certification preferred, or other relevant certification/experience. Experience in the energy or construction industry a plus.

Salary Range

$118,000 - 138,000
