Mead And Hunt, Inc. Sustainability Project Manager in Denver, Colorado

Mead and Hunt, Inc. has an opening for Sustainability Project Manager for our Denver, CO worksite (Hybrid telecommute permitted, requiring 3 days per week at Denver, CO 18th Street office. Reports to Denver, CO 18th St. Office. Must live no more than 75 miles from Denver, CO 18th Street office).

EMPLOYER: Mead and Hunt, Inc. (dba Mead & Hunt)

DUTIES: Perform Daylight Analysis which includes: Provide Daylight expertise and guidance during Schematic Design and Design Development, collaborating with Architects to identify Daylighting concerns and opportunities; Perform Daylight modeling using LightStanza to study the glare, daylight quality, and occupant comfort in the proposed project design; Present Daylight modeling results to Architects, Interior Designers, and Lighting Designers, providing recommendations to reduce glare inside the building and increase useful daylight using building massing and orientation changes, glazing materials selection, and strategic design details; Facilitate conversation between glazing manufactures and Architects for projects that are implementing specialty glazing; Review and complete LEED Online submittal for the Daylight credit. Perform Whole Building life cycle analysis (WBLCA) of embodied carbon which includes: Collaborate with Architects and Structural Engineers to identify Embodied Carbon and other environmental impact reduction goals and outline the associated strategies; Perform Whole Building Life Cycle Assessment using the available BIM model, building material quantities and properties on One Click LCA; Model an appropriate baseline for comparative analysis and present the results to all stakeholders; Review and complete LEED Online submittal for the Building Life Cycle Impact Reduction credit. Perform Project Management which includes: Manage LEED projects from start to finish, providing LEED consulting from Schematic Design to Construction Administration and driving LEED Design and Construction review submission and LEED Certification; Contribute to the creation of proposal scopes of work and fee development for department manager and marketing; Perform monthly invoicing and project forecasting. Coordinate with project teams and certification organizations (e.g. USGBC, GBCI, IWBI, CHPS, GBI, etc.), providing submissions for LEED and CHPS reviews and coordinating with project teams every step of the process. Facilitate LEED/CHPS specific project discussions between LEED Coach/CHPS Reviewers and project teams. Plan and facilitate project coordination meetings and on-site construction site observations independently, engaging with team for LEED/WELL/CHPS on credit guidance and tracking progress of LEED material procurement through submittal reviews and site observations. Suggest additional scope of work needs. Provide client communication of project status and scope of service. Lead preparation for facilitation of sustainable design charettes and workshops. Serve leadership role in technical or industry professional meetings with US Green Building Council Chapter.

REQUIRES: Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Architecture, Building Systems, Construction Management, Sustainable Building Systems, or closely related discipline and Four (4) years of experience as an Architect, Sustainability Associate or Intern, Energy Rater or similar related field in architectural design or sustainability consulting for buildings

OTHER SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Experience must include: 1. LEED AP Building Design + Construction ("LEED AP BD +C") Certification. 2. 2 years of experience working directly with clients on green building certifications. 3. 1 year of experience in building design and construction processes. 4. 1 year of experience working with LE D and other green building certification processes or rating systems and processes. 5. 1 year of experience reviewing drawings and specifications of building projects. 6. 1 year of experience using Revit and Google Sketchup for architecture or sustainable building modeling.
