Meta Software Engineering Manager, AR/VR – Developer Tools in Denver, Colorado

We’re looking for someone to be responsible for our app developer tooling strategy, from IDEs to debugger to compiler - seasoned engineer manager that can seize the opportunity of having access to the whole stack, from software to hardware, to provide the best developer experience possible.Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses. Required Skills:

Software Engineering Manager, AR/VR – Developer Tools Responsibilities:

  1. Help build and lead our developer tooling strategy to deliver world-class products and services.

  2. Work cross-functionally to design solutions that work across Meta Reality Labs’ product offerings.

  3. Leverage and contribute to IDE and toolchain projects across the industry.

  4. Champion engineering and operations, establishing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.

  5. Establish a solid project framework and development processes.

  6. Provide technical leadership and guidance to both your team members and your project peers.

  7. Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging data to make engineering and product decisions.

  2. Proven track record of building and supporting cross-functional teams.

  3. 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.

  4. Experience building products for developers for game or real-time development.

  5. Experience with C/C++/C# or comparable languages.

  6. Experience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing engineers.

  7. Experience architecting, developing, and launching software products and/or services.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in Windows and/or Android.

  2. Experience writing or working within game engine codebases such as Unity, Unreal, or others.

  3. Experience in building or extending any of the following: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, PIX, Razor, Event Tracing for Windows, LLVM, and/or GNU.
