Position Overview

Autodesk Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to work with our main customers to design customized and configured solutions for their Enterprise Application (EA) integrations with cloud-based technologies. You will work directly with customers to understand their EA integration needs and develop custom solutions built on Autodesk Cloud and On-Premise Products. You will report to the Manager, Professional Services Consulting. This will be a remote role.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers to determine breadth and depth of EA integration needs

• Analyze Customer requirements and contribute to the configuration of Autodesk products accordingly

• Produce written specifications to capture our requirements for proposed solutions and configuration activities

• Work individually and with internal team members to develop level of effort estimations

• Work with internal resourcing managers to establish work plans for projects for self and supporting team members

• Develop system architecture, detailing system design, and documenting implementation plans

• Participate in all phases of software implementation projects

• Create customized and configured solutions on top of Autodesk core products in the AEC/Manufacturing domain

• Identify our requirements, functional design, process design (workflow mapping) testing and training

• Contribute to Autodesk IP and assets through methods development and sales collateral

• Lead training and adoption efforts for customers

• Work with team to identify process and technology improvement areas to enable team to better meet customer needs and scale

• Up to 75% travel to customer locations but typically is less

Minimum Qualifications

• 4-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, computer science, or related degree

• 3-5 years software development process experience in web and cloud technology domains

• 3-5 years of experience

Relevant Skills

• Experience in front end JavaScript/Typescript, HTML5/CSS and modern web frameworks such as React or other web UI frameworks is required

• Experience with NodeJS, ASP.net, or similar server technologies

• Experience with full stack development technologies is desired including: Package management solutions (NPM or Yarn), module building systems (Webpack or Browserify), and testing solutions (Jasmine, Mocha, or similar)

• Practical experience with relational and no SQL database technologies

• Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge, mobile platform programming technologies

• Experience with web-based data visualization and Internet of Things (IoT) integrations or Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality

• Experience with version control systems/Git

Professional Skills

• Experienced as a Consultant comfortable interacting with external and team members alike

• Excellent vision and imagination

• Experience designing, develop and test workflows for and implement practical business solutions

• Adept at understanding and documenting current state processes within the cloud-based EA integration area

• Embrace new ideas, methods, learnings and quickly put into practice

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $89,900 and $155,100. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
