Switchfly, Inc. Senior Software Engineer in Denver, Colorado
Design, develop, and modify software systems, including analyzing user needs, determining performance standards, and identifying potential enhancements. Develop and create solutions to add to existing platform and integrate with software systems, databases, and other tools including Java, Spring, Tomcat, and HTML/CSS. Develop and support applications for travel, loyalty, and related consumer activities. Shape mobile applications and web technology innovation, and continuously improve our platform. Collaborate with team members to build new functionality for the travel industry. Write and maintain sustainable and efficient code for scalable architectures. Build prototypes and create scalable applications. Participate in all phases of the software development process, and partner with key stakeholders to enhance and support existing applications. Work in a lean and agile development environment, and conduct debugging and optimization. 100% Telecommuting permitted.
Requirements:
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus Two (2) years of experience in developing scalable, event-driven applications in a highly distributed environment.
Specific Skills: Also requires background in: Unit, Integration, and automation testing; Java; JavaScript; jQuery; Ember.js; CSS; Handlebars.js, Mustache.js; gulp.js; Spring; ColdFusion Markup Language; FreeMarker Template Language; PostgreSQL; Couchbase; Docker; Git; Gitlab; HTML; and Tomcat.
Pay Range and Benefits Information: The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between Salary: $132,250 to $152,250 per year. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
