Position Overview

Responsible for the overall implementation of the sales strategies and sales results of the Innovyze Territories as assigned which will be focused on Mid-Market, Strategic, and Territory tiers. Manages team effort in direct-led and indirect deals by leveraging partners and drives sales for the assigned industry or territory which is predominantly a Public Sector specialization (State, Local, Municipal, and Federal).

Plans and directs all sales activities including planning, managing forecasts, building the pipeline, demand generation planning, public sector compliance management, industry specialist skill development for water, executing on policies, as well as staffing and talent development of the sales force.

Promotes a team culture that embraces Autodesk’s values. Collaborate across organizations and engage appropriate internal resources from Autodesk. Establishes short and long-term goals and quotas in line with corporate objectives that generate new business and develops and maintains customer relationships. Execute strong business practices. Capable of leading a change-management initiative to enable and accelerate matrix sales as an acquired division of Autodesk.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the activities of sales team, including hiring, coaching, developing talent, team culture and performance management

  • Responsible for leading team to focus on exceeding assigned quotas

  • Deliver timely and accurate forecasting and pipeline management

  • Generate incremental new business as well as maintains and maximizes existing revenue stream

  • Manage execution of strategic sales and marketing programs, including product launches, trade shows, channel development events, and customer forums. Will require collaboration with others not reporting to this job

  • Requires industry knowledge with water technologies, consulting services, and public sector procurement methods

  • Establish and sustain effective long-term customer relationships

  • Direct Sales Execs to effectively work with partners to generate business and ensure the consistent implementation of company initiatives. Change management skills to transition a legacy direct-only sales team to adopt channel sales motions, collaboration, and fulfillment

  • Provide insight to internal organizations on market direction, customer needs, product requirements and business opportunities

  • Organize customer and engineering consultant user groups

  • Collaborate with other internal organizations and coordinate internal resources as needed

  • Ensure CRM tools and Autodesk methodologies are leveraged to process and track opportunities, and guide teams through the transition from Innovyze tools and processes

  • Align team with corporate goals and use SMART goals to deliver results

  • Encourage innovation by exchanging new ideas to improve operation and efficiency within sales and the supporting organizations

Minimum Qualification

  • 8+ years enterprise Software selling experience with a proven track record of over-achievement of quota expectations

  • 5+ years proven experience in successfully managing people to achieve performance goals

  • Water industry experience desirable

  • P.E. desirable

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $229,000 and $331,430. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
