The Role
The Data Security Architect will play a critical role in ensuring the privacy, integrity, and availability of our data assets. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security architectures, as well as working closely with various stakeholders to integrate security best practices into our systems and processes.
Location
This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S.
The Main Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable and secure data architectures that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate security risks.
Monitors current and future security trends, technology and information that will positively affect products and services applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture
Applies new and innovative ideas to old or new problems
Position the cyber security architecture program as the lifeline for all information security functions and develop inputs/outputs and processes for integrating with various groups like security strategy, security consulting, risk assessment, security detection and incidence response
Provide technical and security expertise to IT and business teams to identify security technology solutions and develop security reference architectures and strategies to achieve business results
Be the liaison between customers and product teams for Security requirements/enhancements
Work closely with other Solution Architects to align the security requirements and the solution design with the customers’ business drivers and demonstrate unique value
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Work closely with IT, legal, and business units to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization’s operations.
Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees about security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and trends to ensure the organization remains protected against potential threats.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Proven experience as a Security Architect, with a strong focus on data security solutions and architecture design.
In-depth knowledge of Identity and Access Management, Identity Governance and Administration, commercial and Gov cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle, GCP) and their security features and controls.
Strong understanding of security principles, encryption techniques, network security, and authentication protocols.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex security issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Demonstrated knowledge of recognized security industry standards and leading practices (e.g., PCI, OWASP, NIST CSF)
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
