This position protects RTDs digital assets and technology systems by designing and implementing zero trust and network protection solutions for RTD. This position requires expertise in networks, infrastructure, identity & access management, client/server architectures, server management, and network security principles to safeguard information systems, cloud services, and networks against advanced cyber-threats. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential: Develop prioritized network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and secure network access plans and roadmaps by synthesizing the agencys cybersecurity threat model, risk and vulnerability posture, IT/OT technologies, Reference Architectures, and technical services priorities. Create and execute deployment plans and strategies by engaging vendors and internal technical and business stakeholders to understand people, process, and technology requirements, and by analyzing and documenting as-built data flows and network requirements for in-scope technical services. Promote seamless operationalization and supportability by authoring technical documentation, diagrams, work instructions for internal and external departments. Assist in the development of medium- and long-term architecture plans for the agencys local, campus, and operational, and regional networks; Lead critical approaches to network design, balancing security requirements with mission needs; Ensure that solutions are aligned with RTD IT reference architec Stay current; Investigate new techniques, break free from legacy models, and stay ahead of industry trends. QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Assurance, Business Administration, or Engineering, or a relevant and related field of stu A minimum of five years of experience in one or more of the following: design and operations in network security with enterprise firewalls, micro-segmentation, network access control, intrusion prevention systems, web filtering, and other logical LAN and WAN technologies such as routing protocols, VLANs, VRF, MPLS, and physical and logical network design. A minimum of five years experience in one or more of the following: administering enterprise server operating systems, cloud services, cybersecurity controls, or other IT infrastructure. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Proficient in analyzing, developing, designing, and implementing cybersecurity controls for various technology systems. Proficient in a range of computer operating systems, hardware, and software. Proficient in network design and planning. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite/O365, Teams and SharePoint based collaboration tools. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to use sound judgment. Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details. OR
