Description

Robert Half is working with a company in the manufacturing industry to find a Senior Corporate Accounting Manager (not a supervisory role). This is a full time position in downtown . It is hybrid, and is paying $150k + 15% bonus. Additional information and job requirements are below. • Overseeing the accounting department and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

• Managing and mentoring a team of accounting professionals

• Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes for multiple entities

• Ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations

• Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing solutions to increase efficiency

• Managing the company's ERP system, ideally SAP, and ensuring accurate and timely data entry and reporting

• Working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement accounting policies and procedures

• Preparing and presenting financial statements and reports to executive management and external stakeholders

• Managing the annual audit and working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth process

• Assisting with special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed

• Overseeing the accurate calculation and reporting of manufacturing cost of goods sold, including tracking and analyzing variances and ensuring proper inventory valuation methods are utilized

• Leading the development and maintenance of inventory reporting processes to provide accurate and timely information on inventory levels, usage, and movements, including ensuring compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards

• Experience leading or participating in the implementation of SAP or other large ERP systems, including ensuring proper system configuration, data migration, testing, and training of accounting staff.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Bachelors in accounting or finance

• Strong tenure

• Very strong knowledge of GAAP

• Someone who can handle complex accounting – multiple entities

• Someone who can help drive efficiencies

• Large ERP experience

• CPA HIGHLY preferred this is almost required

• SAP Experience highly preferred this is almost required
