Responsibilities
TheThis Compensation Analyst position sits within the Development Community Advisory - Public Sector Compensation team and offers a great opportunity to be part of a growing team and be a valued business advisor delivering industry-focused copmpensation services to public sector clients. The Compensation Consulting Professional will serve as a subject matter expert in public sector compensation and be responsible for managing client projects by coordinating staff and other resources to provide timely and cost effective delivery of project results. Additionally, this position will be involved in business development activities, as necessary. Classification & Compensation Project Work Job analysis, title review, career ladders or leveling, FLSA review, and job evaluation Market assessment of base pay, pay policies, and benefits data Development of new or update to existing pay structures, including grade assignments Preparing implementation cost analysis Work with clients to develop compensation philosophy and strategies Managing Client Projects Analyze existing compensation plan to determine areas for improvement Establish project timelines and work with clients to keep projects on schedule Prepare and deliver results to clients, including elected officials Business Development Preparing proposals and attending interviews with potential clients Participating in thought leadership such as writing articles, attending and speaking at relevant industry conferences Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public administration, human resources management, business administration or a related field. Master's degree preferred. Travel - 15 - 50% client travel requirement At least 1-3 years of full-time related job experience in consulting, data analytics, compensation, human resources, or related field. Knowledge of local government a plus! Ability to work independently, as a leader and as a team member to accomplish results. This is a very hands-on position. Ability to perform intermediate excel functions, such as pivot tables, xlookup, date functions, conditional formatting, formulas, charts/graphs, and regression analysis. Demonstrated compensation expertise in multiple topic areas - job matching and market pricing, job evaluation or architecture, pay structures and pay policies, as well as compensation laws and regulations Public presentation and facilitation skills Motivation to work extended hours as needed which can include night meetings Additional Information
The compensation range for this role is $59,640 to $126,440/annually. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
