Facebook Program Manager, Infrastructure Data Centers in Denver, Colorado

Summary:

The Infrastructure Support & Operations Services (ISOS) team designs, implements and continuously evolves systems and processes to support all aspects of the Data Center Operations function. In order to meet this need, the ISOS team provides program management support to critical tooling initiatives. We are looking for a Program Manager with strong core program management skills - understanding the importance of streamlining workflows and building automation, being analytical and detail oriented. As a Program Manager, you will work with your counterpart development team to define product roadmap, metrics, project plan, and drive rapid development cycle to build world class tooling for helping scale Facebook's infrastructure.

Required Skills:

  1. Demonstrate strong understanding of the supported domain and conduct deep analysis of the problem space. Define process end-to-end and drive improvements for maximum impact.

  2. Lead process engineering and/or automation efforts to support cross-functional partners in operationalization and scaling efforts.

  3. Review operational challenges and help determine process efficiencies.

  4. Elicit detailed business requirements by engaging the business to capture clear functional design artifacts using techniques like use cases, systems and data diagrams and process flow diagrams.

  5. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and balance business needs vs technical constraints.

  6. Relay complex concepts, issues, updates, and proposals effectively. Align teams on goals and objectives, set clear expectations, and proactively convey risks.

  7. Build productive relationships across program teams & organization leaders, influence stakeholders, cross-functional/partner teams to gain buy-in and resources for undefined areas.

  8. Drive alignment and seek for simple solutions across multiple organizations.

  9. Foster a culture of data driven decision making.

  10. Quantify operational issues, measure impact, prioritize development resources in areas that will deliver the greatest impact.

  11. Work with stakeholders and peers to identify next half, next year roadmap deliverables for your assigned program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5 or more years of experience with program management.

  2. Communication experience across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  3. Demonstrated track record of delivering business value using technology solutions in high-tech operations space.

  4. Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational experience.

  5. Experience evaluating, defining and improving end-to-end processes.

  6. Experience delivering technical programs or products from inception to delivery.

  7. Experience influencing stakeholders and partner teams. Experience collaborating with different individuals across the organization and within other geographies.

  8. Experience with cross-group collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

  2. Knowledge of compute, storage and networking technologies.

  3. Understanding of network infrastructure.

  4. Web or Internet start-up environment and technical infrastructure management experience.

  5. Understanding of incident management best practices in technical domain.
