Position Overview

Are you a sales professional driven to create digital transformation in water infrastructure engineering? Do you have great customer management and business consultancy skills? Do you love representing industry-leading technology from a highly trusted brand?

Reporting to the Head of Water Infrastructure Sales - Americas, you will be engaging with established, large Autodesk customers as a product specialist sales representative to position the Autodesk Water Infrastructure solutions in a manner that drives transformational business outcomes for our private and public sector customers. You will be driving account planning and customer relationship development and working with both our internal pre-sales team and partner companies to provide guidance and support to your client’s business goals. You will be able to utilize your combination of industry knowledge, business and sales strategy expertise, product knowledge and account management experience to reach both sales quota and customer value goals.

Responsibilities

  • Accelerate adoption of new solutions by helping clients understand the opportunities for enhanced workflows that deliver impactful outcomes for their business

  • Lead and own all sales activity related to Autodesk water infrastructure solutions in your assigned accounts through customer needs mapping, product knowledge, engagement planning and team-selling with partners

  • Work with Autodesk teams in to identify opportunities and drive market adoption of Autodesk Water Infrastructure solutions

  • Be the customer's voice and provide feedback to internal teams on how we can better serve our customer’s needs

  • Develop a strong engagement cadence with industry and technical insights with clients in your assigned territory

  • Develop a strong pipeline and execute accurate forecasting cadence

  • Turn identified workflow improvements into compelling business cases for technology adoption

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years in sales of a software technologies in complex industries

  • An enthusiastic and dedicated approach to connecting with customers to gain an understanding of their business challenges and goals

  • Experience using sales processes and methodologies

  • Experience with developing, driving and achieving sales targets with these strategies and plans

  • You thrive in developing deep customer relationships and managing assigned accounts to result in continued high levels of customer satisfaction and benefit to our customers

  • Able to travel as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline, preferably Civil, Environmental or Water

  • Experienced in managing multiple complex sales across a matrix organization

  • You have experience in a multi-tier sales model

  • You have consistently overachieved on your annual sales quota

  • You have worked in an environment where your team is dispersed across the country

  • You are enthusiastic and creative with the ability to inspire, influence and encourage others, in both relationships with customers and peers

  • Deep understanding of value drivers and alignment of client outcomes in recurring revenue business models

  • Strong financial acumen including an analytical and process-focused mindset

  • Understanding of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) customer management

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $148,000 and $214,170. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
