Job Summary

The Occupational Health & Safety clinic supports a large portfolio of entities (both public and private), including but not limited to the Dept of Transportation, Dept of Safety/first responders, and the Sheriffs Dept, in areas such as: Scheduling Covid vaccines Pre-employment physicals Hazmat Worker's Compensation Contract employment Under minimal supervision, the Patient Access Specialist is responsible for the collection of comprehensive demographic and insurance information required for facilitating timely and accurate billing of patients in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment, utilizing established protocols and procedur

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to prioritize and perform a multitude of duties in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Ability to be versatile in all areas of responsibility and accommodate numerous situational types. Ability to promote positive customer service in a high demand environment, in every encounter. Ability to use critical analytical thinking skills to identify patients that are unable to participate in registration process due to injury, age, or other undetermined barriers. Excellent telephone skills, critical analytical/investigative thinking skills, with an emphasis on exceptional customer service.

Education: Associates Degree or Medical Assistant Certification, preferred.

Experience: Two years of customer service, professional clerical or healthcare experience.

Certificates, Licenses and Registration: Health Care Access Associates Certificate preferred.
