CoCal Landscape Services Inc., 333 E 76th Avenue Denver, CO 80229, is seeking 50 temporary F/T Landscape Laborers to work from 04/01/2025 through 10/31/2025 in all cities in the counties of Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Broomfield, and Douglas. The worker will maintain the grounds performing any of the following tasks while working under close and full supervision, including cutting lawns using hand and power mowers, weeding by hand or clippers, leaf removal by rake or power blower, plant bed edging, flower plant, and tree plantings & maintenance using hand tools, shovels, or machinery. Trim and prune trees using clippers. Spread mulch with wheelbarrows and shovels. Water lawns using hoses and sprinklers, and check and repair irrigation heads using hand tools and shovels.
Requirements: Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time, lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs. Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Requires prolonged sitting or standing. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials. Requires stooping, bending, and reaching. Requires some travel. No min. Education or experience required. All applicants must be able, willing, and qualified to perform the work described and must be available for the specified period.
Terms & Conditions of Employment: $21.35/hr.; $32.03 OT/hr. The wage offered equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage or the Federal, State, or local minimum wage. M-F, 7 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., longer hours may be required depending on weather conditions. Work on Saturday may be required. 40 hours per week plus occasional OT. Pay rates may be higher for workers depending on seniority. Single workweek is used to compute wages due and will be paid by check or deposit on Friday. The employer will make all deductions to the worker's paycheck required by law. An initial voluntary employee advance is offered; the advance is paid back through payroll deduction.
's Guarantee: The worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 6-week period.
Transportation: CoCal will provide transportation to job sites. Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location at CoCal located at 333 E 76th Avenue, Denver, CO 80229. Transportation and subsistence costs from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer to the place of employment, whether in the U.S. or abroad, will be covered by CoCal. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation & subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The transportation payment or reimbursement amount will equal the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
Miscellaneous: CoCal will cover all visa processing, border crossing, and other related travel and subsistence fees; the employee will not have to be reimbursed for these expenses. On-the-job training will be provided in the proper use of maintenance of landscaping power tools and equipment. Employees will be provided without charge with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties.
