Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Denver, Colorado
Description We are in search of a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team based in Denver, Colorado. This role will primarily focus on payroll processing while also assisting in various HR functions. The position is a long-term contract opportunity and requires a meticulous approach to work, hands-on experience with payroll processes, and diligence in following federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently manage end-to-end payroll operations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain and update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, deductions, job classifications, and job status changes.
• Work closely with the finance department to confirm and audit payroll data.
• Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and review of payroll systems.
• Manage all employee data records including timesheets, leaves, bonuses, and compensation changes.
• Assist HR Manager in the development, execution and recording of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Address employee concerns and queries regarding payroll and benefits.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll, and employment laws and regulations.
• Complete necessary payroll forms and reports, including W2 forms.
• Collaborate with the Employee Relations team to ensure compliance with the Davis Bacon Act of 1931 and other relevant employment laws. Requirements • Demonstrable experience in managing all HR functions including but not limited to Benefit Functions, Compliance, Employee Relations, Hiring Processes, Payroll
• Proficiency in using HR software, particularly Paylocity
• Thorough understanding of the Davis Bacon Act of 1931 and its implications on HR practices
• Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the overall business direction
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee and manage a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality
• Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships at all levels within the organization
• Proven experience in managing employee relations issues effectively and efficiently
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for strategic data interpretation
• Familiarity with current HR trends and an ability to implement new strategies to improve organizational performance
• Advanced knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
• Relevant HR certifications would be an added advantage.
