Graduate Mechanical Engineer: As part of the Worley Graduate Community and under supervision and mentorship within the mechanical engineering department, you will develop and designs a variety of equipment, components, systems, and data for offshore platforms. The candidate will use a basic understanding of engineering principles relating to material stress, fluid flow, and heat transfer. Responsible for performing calculations, developing documents/requisitions, and comparing bids. Works under supervision and all work is reviewed on completion. This is a full-time position based in one of our US offices - Long Beach/Monrovia CA, Houston TX, Baton Rouge LA, Denver CO, Chicago IL, or Reading PA. This position is anticipated to start January 2025 or June/July 2025. Responsibilities: Perform job responsibilities in the Mechanical Engineering department under the direction of the Project Lead or a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Performs calculations and reviews the design of pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and pumps. Understands or is willing to learn to interpret facility schematic drawings such as PFDs, P&IDs, and Equipment Layout. Prepares material and minor equipment specifications. Prepares minor equipment requisition packages for inquiry and purchase. Review the supplier data to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications including ASME vessel code and API standards. Keen safety awareness. Able to perform job walks wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in an operating facility, this will require the ability to acquire govt. issued TWIC identification.

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements: May have Vacation Student / Internship experience in an engineering environment with Oil/Gas design. Knowledge of the fundamental requirements of mechanical engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields. Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Required: Recognized Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or University required. One remaining semester is acceptable. Willing to self-relocate to the one of the designated Worley office location areas. Preferred: Engineering in Training Additional info: This role is in California.
