Marathon Petroleum Corporation G&P Measurement Intern/ Co-op Fall 2024 in Denver, Colorado

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compiles, edits and supports the Project Tracker with Updates from the Projects Team or Field Measurement team.

  • Transmits Project Files to SharePoint and ensures proper documentation

  • Coordinates with Measurement Specialist / Inspection Contractors to provide coverage for inspection scheduling for upcoming projects.

  • Ensure proper record handling for MPLX job books including downloads, organizing, and coordinating to our Measurement Services SharePoint Site.

  • Review and organize a small-scale project under the supervision of a projects engineer or specialist.

  • Work with Field Operations and Measurement Analytics to Generate Meter Schematics for accuracy of existing assets or assets that have not been established.

Experience and Education:

  • Required Major: Accounting*

  • Strong academic performance

  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future. 

  • Positions are available fall 2024 semester.

  • Concurrent enrollment in a bachelor’s degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the experience

  • M ust be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.

  • Military experience a plus

  • Availability to work 40 hours per week.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio is preferred.

  • Strong written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and make progress on them.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills for analysis and problem-solving.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Strong personal organizational skills.

  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
