This position is part of the Space Systems Development (SSD) business unit. SSD develops next-generation concepts and systems to advance our future of living and working in space sustainably.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse spacecraft development engineers, you will be responsible for the derivation and development of Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) requirements, analysis, algorithms, flight software, integration, test,verification,and validation of the Orbital Reef ADCS subsystem. In this role, you will use your experience in the development of on-board Guidance, Navigation, and Control technologies to drive technical innovation and solve complex challenges

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support early concept studies, architecture development, definition of GN&C mode states and transitions, and concept of operations. Derive and develop GN&C requirements, perform analyses and trades to validate requirements, and maintain subsystem specification, and performance metrics. Collaborate with other subsystem and spacecraft systems engineers to define GN&C boundaries and interfaces. Support the definition, development, and execution of simulations and tools required for verification of functionalities. Support verification and testing, ensuring the GN&C subsystem complies to its requirements.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum of a B.S. in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineeringor related field. 5 years of design experience focused on development of spacecraft GN&C.
