Description of Job

The Colorado Community College System (CCCS) is hiring a Director of Curriculum Operations to join our System Office’s Academic & Student Affairs department. In this role you’ll direct curriculum business processes. This is not a curriculum or instructional design role. We are looking for someone to provide leadership, technical expertise, data analysis, policy advising, strategic direction, and project management within CCCS for administrative curriculum process design, implementation, and management. This is a term-limited role and is funded through three years after the employee’s start date.

Duties Include:

The position works with leaders in Academic and Student Affairs across the system to

  • Redesign curricular administrative processes including course and program approval;

  • Design and implement systemwide strategies, training materials, knowledge articles, and self-help databases for curriculum management best practices;

  • Initiate, organize, and implement curricular software improvement projects;

  • Drive ongoing curricular initiatives and projects toward completion;

  • Analyze and revise curricular policy, procedure, and process documents for inconsistencies and gaps;

  • Provide operational direction and oversight of systemwide course and program portfolio auditing;

  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant management of curricular catalog; and

  • Ensure consistent and effective operations and holistic system-wide decision-making regarding curriculum processes and software systems.

  • This position will also supervise one employee.

Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

  • Three years of experience in higher education in areas such as program and curriculum management.

  • Experience in strategic planning and project management.

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects while achieving outcomes in a timely manner.

Work Location/Travel Expectations:

  • This position is located at 9026 E Severn Place, Denver, CO 80230.

  • Occasional travel within Colorado may be required.

  • Alternative work arrangements, including flexible schedules and remote work may be available. All work must be completed in the state of Colorado.
