This leadership role, reporting to the SVP, IT Resort Operations and Engineering, provides management oversight, application support, strategy and tactical guidance to the resort application support team staff and destinations. The focus will be on day-to-day support management, leadership participation of common core application selections, overseeing transition of applications into the operating framework, vendor management and mentoring team members. The role will be customer centric and will oversee technical support for resort transactions systems across numerous lines of business. The role will build close relationships with various operational, project, software development, vendor, and product teams to ensure ongoing service and support meeting defined service levels. ESSENTIAL DUTIES


  • Establish strong relationships with resort leaders, software development, finance, security, marketing, and I&O teams to drive value.

  • Build, lead, manage, and coach a team of technical analyst and support specialists.

  • Participate in the selection of new common platform standards in the resort application portfolio.

  • Effectively distribute work and drive performance to ensure employee and team successes.

  • Execute performance reviews and develop employees through setting clear expectations with regular 1x1 interactions, team syncs, and coaching sessions.

  • Provide direct supervision of contractors, on-site/offshore resources & third-party service providers as well as indirect supervision within IT and cross functional organizations.

  • Meet needs of a diverse staff and customer base by promoting and providing a satisfying work environment.

  • Understand your team’s career objectives and work to ensure team members can fulfill those objectives.

  • Lead through difficult or severity situations – clear process hurdles, manage timely and clear communication with customers, and ensure best troubleshooting practices are employed by the team.

  • Consistently put your team members in a position to succeed.


  • Ensure that all aspects of operability are delivered as part of the implementation process whilst ensuring that existing service levels are maintained or improved and ensure full compliance to operational standards, procedures, and best practice.

  • Schedule and implement production changes such as new applications, software upgrades, roll out of bug fixes, etc.

  • Participate in implementation of new applications, bug fixes, and capabilities, review and contribute to design documents.

  • Provide documentation to support causes of service incident and problem resolution efforts to maintain entrusted applications/products.

  • Collaborate, strategize, and create tactics with destination lines of business and software development teams on systems/application enhancements, serviceability, and functions.

  • Work with 3rd party technology companies as needed to implement technology solutions to customers.


  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • 5+ years of experience managing technical teams across a global organization required, or 5+ years as a strong Technical Team Lead.

  • 7+ years administration of Enterprise-class Software is required.

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional services groups, including IT infrastructure, Quality Assurance, Project Management, Legal and Compliance, and Software Development to ensure successful business alignment, application integration, solution delivery, technology architecture, system maintenance, operational support and IT security that meet or exceed the quality standards and compliance requirements expected.

  • Moderate level understanding of Database, Network, Operating System, Hardware, and IT Security concepts is required.

  • Moderate level understanding of corporate applications and services (e.g. Datawarehouse, D365, Workday) both on-premises and Cloud (AWS, Azure).

  • Experience writing technical specifications is recommended.

  • Ability to interface with business areas and effectively translate business needs into technology based business solutions.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Ability to keep abreast of new technological and or/procedural developments and demonstrate knowledge and expertise with software tools and an ability to evaluate.

  • Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguity.

  • Consider job as a service provider.

  • Strong leadership, planning and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Act as a subject matter expert of assigned applications for all internal business partners.

The base salary range below represents the low and high end of the Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Alterra Mtn Co Shared Services Inc.’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Denver area base salary range: $118,000 - $177,000 per year
