Development Associate – Donor Management

Divisional Headquarters – Denver, CO

FLSA - NE, Full - Time

Payrate: 16.50 - 20.00 depending on experience

This position includes: medical, dental and optional insurances.

Scope of Position:

The Salvation Army is seeking an organized, self-motivated, flexible professional with strong customer service and administrative skills. The Development Associate - Donor Management is primarily responsible for donor care, but will also assist the Direct Marketing & Donor Management Director with all functions related to donor relations, database maintenance, direct marketing implementation, as well as some research and analysis.

The Donor Management discipline is responsible for promoting The Salvation Army programs and services and soliciting gift responses via direct marketing mail appeals and related channels, as well as maintaining information about donors in the four state Intermountain Division and its constituent units.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.

  • Must be self-motivated and possess strong administrative skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to interface with all types of personalities with excellent customer relations and people skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.

  • Prior relational database experience required.
