JOB TITLE: Field Lead - DEN DEPARTMENT: Center for Opportunity Rehabilitation and Employment LOCATION: DEN Airport Grounds and 333 W. Bayaud Ave, Denver CO 80223 REPORTS TO: DEN New Heights Program Manager SALARY: $20 - $23 per hour plus 10% differential for 2nd shift HOURS: 40 hours per week STATUS: Non-Exempt SCHEDULE: 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM Mon - Thurs, occasional days and weekends MISSION We seek to create hope, opportunity, and choice, with work as the means through which people with disabilities and other hurdles to employment can more fully participate in the mainstream of life. For 50 years Bayaud Enterprises has been an innovator in the community in reducing hurdles for individuals to engage in the workforce and attain self -reliance. We do this through personalized Employment Services, Social Enterprises (Business Solutions) which provide employment for those needing supported employment, and Individual and Community Services like providing free laundry with the Laundry Truck and support in finding housing and accessing different resource programs through the help of our Navigators. DEPARTMENT Bayaud Enterprises is partnering with Colorado Department of Correction (CDOC), Denver Sheriff's Department (DSD) and Denver International Airport (DEN) for their job readiness program, DEN New Heights. The overall purpose of this program is to provide paid work experiences, support services and job readiness that may lead to employment, for individuals recently released from incarceration. SUMMARY This position will oversee a DEN New Heights crew. The Field Lead position will oversee all job site activities and ensure that participant workers are trained appropriately for their site (ie. personal safety, use of equipment, body mechanics, PPE, reporting of accidents/injuries, etc.). This position ensures that the logistics of the sites are managed (transportation, food, equipment), and keeps in close contact with the Program Manager, Case Managers and Employment Specialists for coordination. The Field Coordinator will shop for food and supplies needed. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This position pays $20-$23 per hour, plus 10% differential for 2nd shift. Sick, Vacation, Holiday and PTO as well as life insurance and other benefits provided to this position. RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as part of the CORE team within Bayaud Enterprises. Pick up participants at designated location to begin workday and drop them back off at the conclusion of workday. Connect participants with case managers for relevant health, food/nutrition and shelter resources using trauma informed practices. Keep progress notes and service data up to date in client database daily. Personal commitment to working within an integrated services model, with emphasis on employment as a key component to ending poverty and homelessness. Work collaboratively with a wide variety of constituents and adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities. Supervise all activities on the job site: training personnel to ensure safety and work quality, manage assets and equipment, ensure all needed supplies are on hand, communicate with our participants and DDW management as needed. Keep inventory of all tools, checking quality, working condition and cleanliness of each item for DDW. Make note and decide for replacement or acquisition of tools needed and consult with Program Manager to purchase. Complete all paperwork required in a timely manner. Establish and maintain positive relat onships with business partners, DEN employees as well as the public. Keep vehicle cleaned and sanitized daily and in good overall condition. Notify Fleet Manager of any maintenance or repair needs as they occur. Understand assessment criteria needed to determine employability and note the participants' ability to meet these criteria in client database. Discuss with team at team meetings. Coordinate meals for workers in DEN Day Works program. Attend applicable staff and community meetings. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS Excellent communication skill both verbally and in writing Excellent ability to work independently. Able to work outside in Colorado weather during all seasons and at nighttime. Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and lift up to 65 lbs EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS Preferred: 2 years' experience working with persons experiencing hurdles
