Required Skills:

Data Analyst, Risk & Payments Responsibilities:

  1. Use data to drive insights to ensure success of payments at Facebook

  2. Monitor events through dashboards, detect anomalies, and conduct deep dive analysis on specific issues to understand root cause and determine best paths forward in the short, mid, and long term after identifying the root cause of an issue

  3. Communicate to broad cross-functional teams the issue, remediation, and next steps in time-sensitive situations

  4. Apply expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and provide experience, risk, and product insights

  5. Drive key performance metrics such as fraud losses, payment success rates, and support efficiency

  6. Influence cross-functional partners such as Product, Engineering, and Sales to implement long-term product and process improvements to address issue root causes

  7. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted (remote work benefit)

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business, Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field, and 36 months of work experience in job offered or in a business analyst-related occupation. Experience must include 6 months of experience in the following:

  2. SQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

  3. Designing and presenting data in Tableau and Sisense

  4. Relational databases including data modeling and data warehousing

  5. Scripting using Perl, Python, HTML, or Shell

  6. Root cause analysis

  7. Alerting and anomaly detection

  8. Project Management
