About the James C. Kennedy Mountain Campus

The University of Denver's vision is to be a "great private university dedicated to the public good." Founded in 1864, DU is actively implementing its dynamic strategic plan, DU IMPACT 2025. Among the plan's most significant goals is a strengthening of the 4Dimensional (4D) Experience for all students, including advancing intellectual growth, pursuing careers and lives of purpose, exploring character and promoting well-being. The James C. Kennedy Mountain Campus, announced in early October, will fully integrate the 4D Experience for DU students in a wilderness setting, with a particular emphasis on character and leadership exploration and enhancing well-being along social, spiritual, and physical path

The new property, which is adjacent to Roosevelt National Park, includes approximately 724 acres of rolling terrain with rock outcroppings and beautiful views of the Laramie Mountains to the west. Buildings include a dining hall/office, six large all-season cabins, four seasonal cabins, a dining hall, a health center with nurse's apartment, recreation center, equestrian center with classroom, many miles of trails, and a high and low ropes course. All the infrastructure is in place including fire suppression, wastewater, internet and water storage.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director, KMCWR Marketing and Communications, the KMCWR Marketing & Communications Coordinator will support promoting the Division of Kennedy Mountain Campus, Wellness & Recreation (KMCWR) to students, faculty/staff, alumni, campus and community partners, donors, and the Denver and Northern Colorado community through the execution of the KMCWR marketing and communications plan. Each facility within the KMCWR Division (James C. Kennedy Mountain Campus and Daniel L. Ritchie Center for Sports & Wellnes ) will have a marketing and communications plan that is to be executed throughout each fiscal year to achieve division goals. This position plays the key role in delivering and presenting the Daniel L. Ritchie Center for Sports and Wellness and the James C. Kennedy Mountain Campus on-campus and at community promotions and events to obtain new leads, support of digital experience campaigns to obtain new leads (websites, social m deo, e-mail, text) and ensuring that the target audience journey leads to engagement and sales with our events, programs, and services at each facilit

Essential Functions

Promotions & Events

  • Design, implement, and execute the promotional opportunities and events of the marketing and communication plans to achieve our lead generation goals for the division. Promotional opportunities and events include, but are not limited to: digital content development, on and off-campus event promotions, community promotions, and collaboration with partners and organizat
  • Assist in outbound and inbound marketing activities and events by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization, and content development.
  • Coordinate the student street team to support promotional opportunities and events.
  • Track lead generation results to determine which tactics are most effective and should be continued or eliminated. Digital Content and Execution
