About this position:

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Applied Behavior Analysis, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst works with district leadership and school teams to assess students for and implement Applied Behavior Analysis practices and services. Provides guidance and support to teams on how to evaluate and implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) practices with specific students, including researching, designing, and implementing strategies to support the achievement of students with disabilities who exhibit challenging behaviors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the educational experience of our students by implementing evidence-based behavioral strategies, working closely with educators to meet the needs of students, and collaborating with community partners and parents/guardians to ensure a consistent approach both in school and at home.

An individual who holds this Senior Team Lead position will receive an additional $5,500 annual stipend on top of their teacher salary. What You'll Do:

In collaboration with the Department of Mental Health and Exceptional Student Services, supports with the response to requests for support in evaluating necessity for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in schools

As a member of the Behavior Team, enhances the school teams' ability to effectively and efficiently manage student behaviors within their schools by supporting the gathering and reviewing of data, related counsel and advice/coaching that will allow teams to more effectively manage student behaviors within their schools using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysi

Provides behavior analysis services and assists school teams in the development of behavior intervention plans for special education students with social/emotional needs

Maintains a caseload of buildings/programs and students for which the Specialist provides consultation, coaching and services which may include direct and indirect services to students who require ABA as part of their IEP or 504 as determined by the special education or 504 team evaluation process

Develops and provides professional development/training to central office and school staff

Supports development of district guidance and processes for Functional Behavior Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plans

May directly supervise BCABAs and/or Registered Behavior Technicians

What You'll Need: Hold a Master's Degree in Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, School Social Work, School Psychology, School Counseling National Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). 3+ years of experience in special education, Applied Behavior Analysis, School Social Work, School Psychology, School Counseling Have completed an 8-hour supervision CEU to be able to supervise RBTs Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, especially IDEA, Section 504 and Colorado House Bill 22-1260 (Access To Medically Necessary Services For Students) is required Experience supervising Registered Behavior Technicians preferred Excellent interpersonal, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills required Application and knowledge of data driven interventions focused on improving student behavioral outcomes Ability to collect, monitor and interpret data Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams Strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrated proficiency with Google Workspace Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel High degree of integrity in handling confidential information Valid Colorado Driver s license, appropriate insurance coverage, and an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
