Chevron Corporation Base Operations Land Representative in Denver, Colorado

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position Base Operations Land Representative through September 30, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:

Developing and executing base operations land strategies, performing lease maintenance and obligation activities, evaluating and providing lease recommendations for down wells, title curative, clearing title and performing title curative work for dynamic sub-op rig schedules, negotiating and drafting complex land agreements, researching public and internal land records, working with government officials, assisting with land due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures and assisting JIB and Revenue accounting teams to evaluate outstanding balances providing recommendations to maximize value for the business unit. Proficient in land systems including QLS and QGIS. Provide competent land and business guidance to asset teams, key stakeholders, and management to meet business objectives. Effectively provide work direction to field land agents and outside legal counsel. Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years of Land-focused oil and gas experience.

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited institution.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, and time management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Ability to collect, analyze, and summarize data to make important decisions.

  • Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.

  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve goals.

  • Creative, solution-oriented, critical thinker.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degrees in Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Energy Commerce, Business or Law from accredited institutions.

  • Certified Professional Landman with the AAPL.

  • Proficiency in Quorum Land Systems (QLS) and Quorum Geographic Information Systems (QGIS) or other GIS software.

Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $114,500 – $226,300 .
