This Associate Director of Third Party Engagements will drive the strategic sourcing and qualifications of suppliers for Loxo@Lilly The ideal candidate has an understanding of the various risk domains that are relevant for third party management and is able to multi-task and remain extremely organized to manage assessments for many vendors simultaneously. The candidate will work collaboratively with both internal colleagues and external third parties to identify third parties to meet the business needs and manage risk assessments of these third parties from the initial request to completion as well as monitoring thereafter .
Roles and Responsibilities of the Position:
Sourcing
Partner with functional leads and project managers to identify third parties that can address business needs, including providing guidance on existing vendors that can potentially be leveraged
Build out internal database to easily share information across the organization regarding third parties that can address particular business needs
Third Party Risk Management
Oversee Non-GxP assessments and periodic reviews of third parties providing items or services to Loxo@Lilly
Work closely with the Quality team, functional Subject Matter Experts, and contracting representatives to ensure identified risks are appropriately mitigated
Help guide the third parties through the assessment process as quickly and seamlessly as possible
Check IT systems and communicate the status of third party vendor assessments
Help manage the third party management IT system
Required Qualifications and Preferred Background:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree is required with 3+ years’ experience in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry
Understanding of key biopharma outsourcing activities and key risk areas to be assessed
Strong organization skills in order to manage assessments at various stages and effectively multi-task
Exceptional communication skills – this position requires communicating with a variety of different stakeholders, including scientists, project managers, risk domain Subject Matter Experts, and third party contacts
Level commensurate with education and experience
Ideal Candidate will also have:
Sourcing experience related to drug discovery and development
Working knowledge of a comprehensive enterprise risk management process
Alliance management a plus
Enjoys fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to adapt quickly to shifting needs and/or priorities
Strong attention to detail
Loxo@Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for the Associate Director level position could range from between $109,500 to $160,600 and will depend in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. This position will also be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Loxo provides a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including vacation, medical, dental and vision benefits; participation in a 401(k) plan; life and accidental death and disability coverage; parental leave benefits and employee discounts for certain items. The compensation described above be higher or lower than the range described above. Further, Loxo reserves the right to amend, modify, or terminate its compensation and benefit programs in its sole discretion.
