The Larson Group Testing Technician in Denton, Texas

The Larson Group Peterbilt is looking for an experienced Testing Technician to join our dynamic team. The potential candidate’s primary responsibility is to perform all functions of a heavy-duty truck Testing Technician und up fitter under minimal supervision. Reports issues to shift supervisor for further testing and repair. * Train new technicians. * Follow safety rules and company policies always. * Communicate to Production Supervisor and/or Service Foreman regarding parts that are not available for completion of project. * Perform all areas of PDI and properly fill out PDI paperwork. * Perform all customer required up fitting of trucks with aftermarket components including but not limited to; APU units, roof fairings, chain boxes, chrome accessories, light accessories, PTO’s, and hydraulic pumps. * Communicate to Production Supervisor and/or Service Foreman regarding quality issues found during PDI inspection * Save all warrantable parts. Tag, wash, box and turn in to shift supervisor. Labels the box with repair order number, S/N, customer name and date. * Maintain a clean and safe work area. Clean and return tools used. * Advise the following shift’s technicians with any special instructions or concerns you found during PDI inspection or installing components on a truck. * Maintain efficiency and productivity goals set forth by Operations Manager. * Maintain Peterbilt online training percentage of 95%. * Obtain class B CDL and retain during employment. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Should possess a High School diploma. * A college degree or a certificate from a trade school is preferred, but not required. * Experience in a related field is preferred but not required. * Must possess or be able to obtain a Class B CDL. * Motor Vehicle record must meet established TLG Guidelines at all times.
