Universal Health Services RN EVALUATOR / REFERRAL COORDINATOR /MARKETER -ACUTE REHAB in DENISON, Texas

Responsibilities

The RN Evaluator/Marketer has multiple roles including care-giver, decision maker, client advocate, marketer, and educator. The functions include providing marketing, community support, and customer service activities in representation of TMC RRH. Participates in referral source identification, assessing the needs of the customer and making the requested number of marketing contacts each month in order to develop and maintain long term referral relationships to generate a continued flow of admissions to meet RRH census objectives. Functions also include collecting information about the client needs and development of an appropriate plan relevant to the rehabilitation setting. He or she plans events, provides tours, performs referral source inservices, acts as a liaison between the referral source and the RRH, and seeks out new business development opportunities for RRH. Frequent travel to various agencies and facilities within the community. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times. The Standards of Practice set forth by the professional nursing associations will provide guidelines for the competent, safe and professional practice.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

Current Texas nursing license or compact license.

Minimum of 2 years rehabilitation experience preferred. Rehab practice settings may include IP Rehab, Long Term facility, Home Health or hospital settings.

AHA BLS required at hire. ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN) preferred.

Knowledge of care tool and satisfactorily passes care tool certification within 30 days of hire and bi-annually thereafter.

Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served.
