Delta County Pretrial Services Compliance Officer in Delta, Colorado
POSITION: Pretrial Services Compliance Officer
The Pretrial Services Compliance Officer supervises individuals released on bond, with pretrial services as a condition of that bond to ensure adherence to the conditions of their release and pre-trial proceedings. The position should focus on supervision with the intent to maximize court appearance and public safety.
DUTIES: * Monitor compliance for clients released with conditions or referred to pretrial services. * Install Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment and monitor GPS data and tracking on defendants. * Attend court conferences and hearings for defendants. * Provide supervision for a varying client caseload of defendants residing in the community. * Maintain client records, compiles statistics, and prepares reports for submission to the Court. * Disseminate information to other criminal justice agencies. * Monitor phone check-ins and other tasks via corrections software. * Monitor compliance with court-ordered conditions of release and supervision agreement. * Submit detailed written reports to the appropriate entities. * Keep statistics for the preparation of monthly reports and annual state reporting required by statute. * Broker community resources for pretrial and conditional release. * In absence of Pretrial Services Manager perform a risk assessment, Colorado Pretrial Assessment Tool Revised (CPAT-R) and report to the court. * Transport defendants to and from court to maximize court appearance and other court ordered appointments. * Effectively and professionally manage a caseload of defendants from various backgrounds, in potentially stressful and volatile situations.
REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, human services, social work, social sciences or related field is required. May substitute five (5) years of demonstratable intermediate and independent case management in a criminal justice system, community mental health organizations and the similar. * A minimum of two (2) years of experience in criminal justice, social services, community mental health, compliance officer or case management is required. * Current and valid Colorado Driver s License required
PREFERRED SKILLS: * Bilingual with ability to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently is preferred.
- Combination of education and experience could waive specific requirement.
WAGE: * $22.10 to $24.31 hourly without a related bachelor s degree per hour depending upon qualifications.
- $24.54 to $26.99 hourly with a related bachelor's degree per hour, depending upon qualifications.
