City Of Delta Fitness Instructor in Delta, Colorado
POSITION: Fitness Instructor
With customer service a priority, performs necessary duties as assigned for various positions at the recreation center. These duties could include administration, aquatics, fitness, leisure and/or sports and custodial.
DUTIES: * Teach classes consisting of stretching, toning, aerobic and cool down sessions; insure patrons wellness and safety when performing duties of teaching * Teach classes as assigned to all levels of students in the correct application according to department assigned. * Scan and walk through facility, as assigned, perform routine facility walk through for observation of usage areas. * Provide a safe and fun environment for all patrons. * Assist other City employees as requested. * Ensure a clean and safe environment for department assigned. * May be required to complete forms, documents, etc. relating to department assigned. * Responsible for proper opening and closing procedures as needed. * May perform duties involved in registrations for various programs or events.
REQUIREMENTS: * Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of high school. * Previous experience working with sporting activities and/or other recreational activities or special events, if assigned to sports or leisure divisions. * Assignment of duties in administration/ recreation must be 18 years of age or older * Will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test. * CPR and First Aid certifications required at time of hire or obtained within 30 days of hire date. * If assigned, will be required to possess a valid driver's license. * Ability to perform moderate physical work and to lift from 25 to 50 pounds and to occasionally carry up to 50 and 100 pounds, depending on activity being performed. * Possess hand/eye and/or hand/eye/foot coordination adequate to operate phone system, computer and other office equipment.
WAGE: $15.08-$20.52/ Hour - Depending on Experience

SHIFTS: Part-time - 20 hours per week * Schedule can include early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
