Eaton’s ES AMER PCS CA division is currently seeking a Field Service Representative, CPDI (Temporary up to 1 year).

The hourly rate for this position is between 30-44$ per hour.

Eaton’s Critical Power and Distributed Infrastructure Division is hiring a Field Service Representative, CPDI (Temporary up to 1 year) to join our team. This position will be located out of our Delta, British Columbia service facility.

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the District Manager, this position is responsible for servicing uninterruptible power supplies and batteries and other company electronic-based products in a high voltage environment at the customer’s site.

In this function you will:

• Performs emergency and preventive maintenance and installation on a 24/7 on-call basis with regional responsibility.

• Responsible for performing on-site or in-house servicing and repair of company products.

• Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.

• Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.

• Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment and serve as the customer contact on technical and service-related problems.

• Act as a point of escalation for external customers.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics from an accredited institution or Certified Electronic Technologist or Red Seal Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician.

• Minimum of 1 year of UPS, battery technologies, electrical service or electronics experience.

• Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

• Business travel to customer sites required.

• Required to travel to United States for training on safety and Eaton products.

• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of UPS, battery technologies, electrical service or electronics experience.

• Basic understanding of network functionality, fiber optics and sealed and wet celled battery theory and application.

• Skilled proficiency in the following:

o Test Equipment Operation.

o Troubleshooting Techniques.

o Understanding of UPS’ between 3-500 KVA.

o Understanding of electrical distribution systems and schemes.
