SUNY Delhi General Shift Lead in Delhi, New York

Train and assign employees (regular and students). Training to include proper use of all equipment, and methods of cleaning.
Adhere to established food service policies, observing all safety and sanitation standards.
Communicate regularly with Management, Employees and Supervisors in progress and concerns in person and in the logbooks.
Must be able to open and close a CADI Food Service operation. Responsible for securing the building at the end of the shift.
Ensure that preventative maintenance on equipment as set up by schedules and routines is performed.
Maintain a good working relationship with all co-workers and inspire teamwork camaraderie.
Ensure all tasks, responsibilities and obligations of all employees are completed before clocking out regardless of unforeseen challenges and circumstances.
Uphold themselves and other employees to customer service standards, ensuring the customer is always happy using all reasonable resources.
Responsible for sanitation and cleanliness of all food service related areas at all stations in all units.
Uphold CADI Mission Statement and Goals.
Communicate with Unit Manager on maintenance needs.
Follow procedures and policies set forth and correct any deviations.
Keep all work areas neat and orderly and consistently clean as you go.
Must be able to deescalate situations as they arise while still maintaining operation at CADI standards.
Review production lists with Sous Chef/Head Cook for daily needs. Review daily checklists filled with managers making sure jobs have been completed satisfactory.
Perform other related tasks not included in this description as assigned by management.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Will be required to attend a food sanitation course and pass ServSafe Certification.
Reports to Unit Manager.
Work in a way that all foods are labeled and dated at all times.
Must be competent in all stations and jobs and be willing to be trained as such.
Job Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience in a kitchen.
Must be competent in front and back of house supervision to ensure maximum levels of customer service.
Must be able to work independently.
Must have knowledge and experience in proper cleaning/sanitary procedures, ordering and inventory procedures, and cash handling.
Must possess a positive attitude and practice positive customer/employee conduct.
Additional Information:
$20.54/hour
Available Shifts
Sunday - Thursday; 3pm - 11:30pm
CSEA Local 628
Work 32 weeks per year when SUNY Delhi is in session.
