The Instructional Support Technician will provide the Construction Technology and Management programs support and assistance for the purpose of maintaining and/or improving the quality of the student's educational experience. The Instructional Support Technician is required to perform a variety of duties in the laboratory and has responsibilities as set forth below:
Assist faculty in teaching, demonstrating equipment, and/or observing and assisting students in the development of appropriate techniques in laboratories, shops (labs), on field trips, etc.
Serve as instructor of record for Construction Technology and Management laboratory sessions, including preparing assessments of student performance.
Under the supervision of a functional head, be responsible for the care, control, repair, maintenance, and delivery of functional materials, supplies, and equipment (including ordering of supplies).
Supervise such student assistants as may be assigned for the purpose of storing, maintaining, and delivering supplies, materials, and equipment, and to provide such instruction as may be appropriate to the successful operation of the function.
Assist faculty and/or staff with the preparation, development, and presentation of instructional and/or materials for classroom and laboratory instruction.
Attend faculty meetings and coordinate with faculty on a wide range of activities.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of an Associate's degree in Construction Technology or related field.
5 years of experience working in the Construction Field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience
Construction business accounting
Broad-based knowledge and experience in the construction technology field.
Additional Information:
Salary: $44,572.

10-month academic year position
