National Youth Advocate Program Youth Clinician (LSW, LPC) Union and Delaware Counties in Delaware, Ohio

Community Based Clinician; LSW or LPC; Intensive Home-Based Treatment

Territory: Union and Delaware Counties

Compensation:

Salary: $63,000; First year sign on and retention bonuses: $11,000

The Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT) Clinician works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families served. This position works closely with youth, family, foster parents, and community partners, providing counseling or therapy, advocacy, and support toward living safely and successfully in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, group, and family mental health therapy, case management, transportation, and other professional services to clients served

  • Managing a small caseload, you will travel daily to provide In-Home Services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.

  • You will meet with each client 2-3 times per week.

  • Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.

  • Regularly reviews and modifies youth-based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.

  • Establishes and maintains strong relationship with assigned foster parents and families of origin.

  • Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth’s primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth’s case plan.

  • Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field; Master's degree preferred

  • LSW or LPC required

  • Experience in providing both individual and family therapy

  • Experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.

  • Experience with TF-CBT preferred

  • Daily travel required with the willingness to meet clients on a flexible schedule or during non-traditional hours if needed

  • Must be comfortable providing services in the community and in client homes.

  • On Call Duties

  • Productivity: 40% productivity required

  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

  • Must be willing to accept other job duties as assigned

Driving and Vehicle Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Reliable personal transportation

  • Good driving record

  • Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
