Sky Climber Quality Technician in Delaware, Ohio
The Quality Technician assists the quality team in the evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical products and systems. Inspects incoming material using various means to assess compliance to specifications. Sets up and conducts laboratory tests to determine performance of components and systems versus specifications. Performs part inspections using hand tools and manual and automatic coordinate measuring machines.
Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Competent with the use and reading of inspection tools such as tape measurers, calipers, micrometers, height gages, etc.
Measure and visually inspect incoming, in-process and finished products to verify conformance to specification.
Weld Inspection experience preferred.
Forklift operator’s license preferred.
Familiarity with Machine Shop environment preferred.
Executes sampling procedures and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
Enter inspection results and information in MRP software database (Shop Tech E2)
Assist with and oversee rework material processes for quality issues.
Assists in investigations of non-conformances and recommends corrective action to prevent reoccurrence.
Assists in the application, and maintenance of written quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, and products
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Working with the internal manufacturing Fabrication and Assembly teams. S/he will be inspecting processes and reviewing product to assure conformity to specification.
Will work improving, documenting, and refining the manufacturing processes to help create a seamless operation.
Will create and store inspection reports, including periodic analytics summarizing Quality Activity. (Quality Metrics)

To be qualified for this position, candidates need to have mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings and electrical schematics and to use information from all sources to inspect electrical and/or mechanical products for conformance to specifications.
S/he should possess the confidence to be comfortable with confrontation and conflict.
Should be familiar with Microsoft Office computer products, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Should understand Enterprise Resource Planning software.

Environment: The job will be performed in an office environment (50%), test lab (20%) and in a manufacturing facility (30%)
Typical working hours:
Schedule: Monday – Friday (7AM-3:30PM) flexible on time (no weekends or night shift)
Physical activity: Able to lift fifty (50) pounds periodically
