In this position, you will be overseeing the nursing staff for the provision of quality and appropriate resident/patient care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards. Duties include but not limited to: Schedule and/or perform rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care. Maintain administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the proper charting and documentation of care, medications, and treatments. Assist with hiring nursing staff, oversee the provision of orientation and training, and retain qualified staff to carry out nursing/home care programs and services. Review employee performance, discipline process, and conduct periodic performance appraisals in a timely manner. Assist with developing and implementing the written staffing plan and nursing schedule that reflects the needs of the resident and patient population. Collaborate with the Executive Director to build relationships with internal and external prospects, customers, families, and care providers. Review and adhere to departmental budget. Evaluate current and potential tenants and clients to determine and maintain the facility's ability to provide the appropriate level of care. Manage clinical aspects of state or federal government survey processes. Participate in daily Interdisciplinary meetings and other community meetings including Safety Committee and Quality Improvement. Assist with the oversight of the Resident Assessment process for accuracy and attends care planning conferences periodically to de ermine compliance with care planning guidelines. Participate in the collection, review, and analysis of clinical outcome data and determines trends. Brings identified concerns to the Quality Improvement Committee for the development of appropriate plans of action. Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse. Minimum of two years of management or supervisory experience in long-term or acute care is preferred. Restorative or geriatric nursing experience is preferred.
