State of Georgia Employee Relations Manager in Dekalb, Georgia

The Department of Juvenile Justice, Office of Human Resources is seeking a highly skilled professional with extensive knowledge and experience in Employee Relations and compliance. This position will manage the Employee Relations (ER) unit consisting of Employee Relations and Policy. The ER Manager will be responsible for managing the agency's Employee Progressive Discipline process and the complaint process. The ER Manager will also provide information and advice to employees, supervisors, managers, and executive leadership regarding employee relations issues, personnel policies, practices and regulations. Review and evaluate proposed or newly enacted State and Federal laws governing personnel administration. Serve as liaison with external entities including other agencies, organizations, committees, task forces, etc. Responsibilities also include maintaining compliance with EEO, GCEO, ADAAA, investigating claims, and creating Performance Management criteria. Additional duties may include mediation and training. Bachelor's degree in a related field AND Four years of supervisory human resource experience. Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.
