Amergis Hospital Sterile Processing Technician in Defuniak Springs, Florida

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible formaintaining the cleanliness, sterility, and functionality of medicalinstruments and equipment. Responsibilities:

  • Perform sterilization and decontamination processes for medical instrumentsand equipment.

  • Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and completeness.

  • Assemble instrument trays and surgical kits following established protocols.

  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization activities.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability ofsterile instruments.

  • Adhere to infection control standards and aseptic techniques.

  • Assist in inventory management of sterile supplies.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in sterile processing techniques.

  • Strong inventory management skills.

  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infections.

  • Understanding of physiology and anatomy related to medical instruments.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology used in healthcare settings.
