Library Aide
Defiance Public Library
•20 hours/week (days, evenings, and weekends) at the Defiance Public Library location
•Starting range $10.67 - $11.10 hour
Be part of a busy Circulation Department at the Defiance Public Library! Library Aide works behind the scenes helping make the library magic happen. This position unpacks books shipped to the Defiance Public Library, prepares books for shipping to the DPLS Branches and other libraries in the state, shelves and retrieves library materials, and assists the Circulation Services. The position is also responsible for emptying the interior and exterior book drops.
Days, evenings, and weekends required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions required. Basic computer keyboard skills required. Knowledge of Dewey Decimal filing system preferred.
