ConvaTec Commercial Brand Manager in Deeside, United Kingdom

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To be the expert and inspiration for overall UKI brand performance vs plan

  • Lead the brand planning process and develop and implement UKI strategies to protect and grow your brands

  • Deliver marketing plans/campaigns via a multi-channeled approach

  • Develop strong materials, tools and key messages to support broader team to fully execute brand strategy

  • Monitor and analyse sales performance and market conditions, including customer needs and competitor activity including but not exclusively via regular field visit customer engagement

  • Shape the market place and develop brand advocacy via KOL engagement

  • Provide timely and accurate input to product forecasts (S&OP) and annual budget planning process

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with global marketing departments, marketing Centre of Excellence and other internal functions – sales, clinical, regulatory, legal, finance

  • Support delivery of new starter training

  • Manage annual brand DPE budget

Must Have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with natural leadership qualities to inspire and motivate a large national team

  • A results focused approach with a passion to over achieve

  • Strategic thinking capabilities evidenced by successful delivery of projects in a previous marketing role

  • Mastery of core marketing principles and practices including brand development and positioning, integration of messages

  • Excellent numerical, analytical and computer skills to quickly assimilate and interpret large amounts of information.

  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally

  • Organisation and prioritisation of information and time to meet business needs

  • Educated to degree level , preferably in business or marketing


  • CIM Diploma qualification

  • Field sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably within a Commercial role

  • Knowledge of medical devices (ideally medical consumables) and/or pharmaceutical industries and legal/regulatory requirements

Anticipate 15-20% travel required within the UKI ie. Customer meetings, sales conferences, internal meetings, field visits with sales team

Language Skills Required

  • Speaking: Yes English

  • Writing/Reading: Yes English

Working Conditions

Work environment is mixture of home based (full national location flexibility) and field-based with occasional travel.
