Position Summary:
The primary responsibility is managing publication output through external author and internal stakeholder engagement, maintenance of the archival database (Datavision), and creation of reports for publication tracking and assessing/managing timelines.
Responsibilities:
Assure alignment of publication strategy and approval with internal stakeholders
Fulfillment of publication strategies (preparation and submission of abstracts, manuscripts, etc.)
Manage publication activities (liaise with internal/external stakeholders/authors and develop writing team and timelines
Maintaining archives of publications (all public domain scientific materials) including abstracts, posters, manuscripts)
Manage publication tracking system and complete external reporting summary on quarterly basis
Assure publications and maintain archived communications to document compliance with SOPs and Good Publication Practices
Performing literature searches as necessary to bridge publication creation
Provide overall data assessment, via programing and statistical support
Analyze data sets for efficacy and safety signals; subgroup ad hoc, post hoc and pooling of data
Manage/interrogate vendor provided external datasets for unique insights into the diseases we offer solutions for. Develop algorithms for defining patient populations and disease economic burden.
Develop communication tools for providing summary results of our analyses
Manage/develop statistical analysis plans with internal and external statistical expertise to determine significance or results
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) required
Minimum of 5-7 years with a strong current working knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated excellent project management skills and follow through
Ability to respond appropriately to needs of key stakeholders and manage expectations
Ability to understand, integrate and effectively communicate scientific/medical and commercial value of Horizon’s products to the medical community and other key internal and external audiences
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Endnotes, Photoshop
Basic understanding of statistical concepts, and ideally proficient in statistical methodologies
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
