The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Deerfield Beach is currently seeking a full time Sr. Manager, Satellite Operations. The Sr. Manager, Satellite Operations reports to, and assists, the Director of Satellite Practice with all day-to-day operations, management, and administrative responsibilities of a level III+ Sylvester satellite practice. The Sr. Manager assists in the evaluation and management of all business and administrative matters including: budgets, facilities, operations, staffing, and patient flow. The Sr. Manager supports the coordination and standardization of Sylvester’s Oncology Satellites to ensure: optimization of resources, utilization of dashboards and data analysis, process improvement and standardization, and a strong patient experience. The Candidate should have relevant experience in managing projects and will be asked to support: facility upkeep, construction and expansions development, new program/ technology implementations, designing and maintaining tailored reports, etc. Candidate will need to be computer proficient and will be asked to navigate multiple systems and platforms to include: Press Ganey, Epic, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite, and other platforms as identified.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages, implements, coordinates, plans for and evaluates the business operations for the Sylvester satellite, which may include: statistical, performance and managerial reporting, decision and budget support, capital planning, and process improvement. Develops and monitors a plan that ensures the satellite maintains strict adherence to all hospital, regulatory, compliance, and safety standards. Conducts routine facility rounding and risk assessments, ensures safeguarding of assets . Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. Including the management and coordinate of all routine maintenance, necessary repairs, and ongoing expansion projects. Responsible for all facility equipment: evaluating needs, service calls, supplies, lease terms, etc. Ensures that all staff operate in accordance with Sylvester and University guidelines and policies, including training, licensure, vaccinations, and other staff requirements. Oversees a modest team and manages all HR actions, which may include hiring, terminations, salary etc.

Recruits, trains and prepares performance reports for staff. Responsible for all local Satellite vendors and contracts, including management, compliance, and invoicing/payments. Responsible for communication with Satellite staff and leadership via bi-monthly newsletters that address: compliance, training, staffing changes, productivity/performance, and patient experience. Oversees the provider call schedule to ensure appropriate patient care, even during after-hours and weekends. Serves as lead for employee engagement initiatives and provider relations Serves as satellite liaison for facilities, BioMed, IT, research support, supply chain, etc. Manages projects for satellite facilities including coordination of key meetings and projects. Evaluates existing internal controls and approval processes, and makes recommendations on how to improve fiscal integrity and operational efficiency.

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management preferred
