Job Title: Compliance Specialist

Job Description

As a Compliance Specialist, your main responsibility will be to prepare form and rate filings in SERFF, IFile and CMS systems. You will be expected to respond to objections, seek clarifications, and negotiate filing approvals directly with state and federal regulators. Your role involves monitoring changes to laws and regulations, including insurance department, form, rate and rule changes. You will be tasked with reviewing product/policy forms to ensure they comply with state and federal laws, and conducting state-specific legal research to mitigate risks and ensure compliance of existing products. To ensure efficient operations, you will be required to maintain product/policy and rate compliance files ensuring that all necessary documentation is contained within the appropriate files. Along with these duties, you will be expected to perform legal support assignments and projects ensuring their timely completion.

Job Type

This is a 6-Month Contract opportunity with high potential to FTE conversion.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Work Environment

Our team operates from 8AM-5PM or 8:30AM-5PM, based on a hybrid work model. Initially, during the training period, you will be required to work in the office 5 days a week. Post training, you will have the flexibility to choose 3 days to work in office for the rest of the season. You'll be joining a 2-person team, but will also be part of a larger legal team of 22 to 24 people.
