Clean Harbors Hub Maintenance Manager MX in Deer Park, Texas

Clean Harbors in Chattanooga, TN is looking for a Hub Maintenance Manager. The Hub Maintenance Manager MX is responsible for managing overall cost, quality and time at all facilities at all assigned maintenance hub and spoke sites. Maximizes the Company's return on investment for all fleet assets (equipment and vehicles) by planning, managing and directing all activities associated with maintenance Hub. Works closely with internal managers/professionals to support business needs and to implement companywide maintenance strategy.

  • Responsible for the management of all aspects of the maintenance hub and spoke sites in accordance with the region's business plan and budget

  • Manages daily operations, ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of equipment at all Hub and spoke maintenance sites

  • Evaluates vehicles and equipment to assess replacement due to age, history of repair and overall maintenance costs

  • Communicate regularly with all maintenance supervisors, planners and parts personnel to ensure good two-way communication

  • Performs data analysis, prepares reports and makes recommendations for maintenance facility operations improvements

  • Ensures that all personnel is adequately trained and equipped to accomplished set goals in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner

  • Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs

  • Remains current and ensures adherence to all laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines affecting area of responsibility. (DOT , OSHA, RCRA, etc)

  • Ensure that all tools, equipment, and machinery are maintained in accordance with the Company's preventative maintenance program and the physical facility properly maintained

  • Recruits, trains and develops qualified employees

  • Communicates job expectations and fosters a collaborative climate.

  • Other Duties as Assigned

  • High School and specialized training or 1 year college

  • 5 to 7 years’ experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

  • Drivers License Required

  • Ability to create actionable items out of data and information

  • Strategic planning, coupled with tactical execution

  • Strong leadership and personnel development skills

  • Ability to work across business lines

  • Demonstrated project and change leadership ability

  • Strong negotiation skills

  • Knowledge of fleet maintenance systems and processes

  • Ability to use computer and applicable company software.

  • Proficient in MS Office Applications - MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Access

  • Able to apply standards and processes that maintain regulatory compliance

  • Fleet maintenance experience with a decentralized customer base

  • Ability to facilitate/train others, and ability to navigate and handle difficult conversations.

  • Financial understanding, with the ability to set strategy against financial goals

  • Understanding of metrics that drive fleet maintenance performance

  • Ability for local travel 30% to 50%
