If you want to work making positive changes in the community the Montana Department of Corrections is the place for you *JOB OVERVIEW – *The Industries Production Manager, under the Direction of the Industries Director is responsible for supervision and program oversight in the furniture, print, sign, warehouse, upholstery and sewing manufacturing. The Industries Production Manager is a dynamic position responsible for all of the day-to-day operations for our MCE Industries inmate training program. There are approximately 100 inmates in the program learning valuable job skills, soft skills, and work ethic.This position: * Enforces security, safety, and sanitation regulations. * Directs and coordinates the activities of inmates engaged in the production or processing of goods. * Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals. * Inspects and observes materials, products, work gauges, dials, or equipment to detect problems and ensure conformity to production or processing standards. * Provides customers service as necessary to ensure that all customer concerns are met and addresses issues. * Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, facility policies and procedures for inmates. * Performs personnel functions, such as hiring, firing, performance management, discipline, monitoring hours worked and attendance for inmates * Supervises at least 2 civilian FTE * Performs management function including hiring, firing, performance management, discipline, work distribution, employee development. * Is responsible for the overall operation and supervision of area of production. * Formulates long and short-term goals, objectives, work plans, budgets, production standards, and operational policies. * Assesses the viability of additional customer orders to expand the program. *REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS – * * State of Montana Application. * Resume * Cover Letter /Applications missing required documentation may not be considered./ Materials submitted but not requested will not be considered in the selection process, please make sure all attachments are marked as RELEVANT.
