ADM Export Containers

This is a full time exempt position

This position is responsible for all logistics associated with the inbound, transloading, and outbound flows of bulk products shipped in containers. These containers are delivered to ports in Asia and other parts of the world. This position is a fast paced yet very strategic role that requires deep analysis and problem solving skills.

Day to day activities include:

• Plan truck & rail schedules for inbound product flows to multiple transloading locations around

the country.

• Plan transloading activities to meet contract shipment window requirements based on location

capacity & freight spreads.

• Plan & coordinate the booking of vessel space to meet contract requirements.

• Plan & coordinate the flow of empty containers to the transloading locations.

• Issue resolution with service providers, customers, and other ADM locations.

• Manage ever changing schedules devising an alternate plan to meet contract requirements.

• Analyze truck, rail, and ocean freight rates to determine the optimal execution point for bulk

agriculural products.

• Coordinate with merchandisers, documentation team, customers, suppliers and service

providers to ensure shipments are sent on time, in the quantity requested, with a complete set of

docs.

• Application of shipments to contracts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business preferred.

• 2 years logistics experience. Container logistics preferred.

• Knowledge of container freight is preferred.

• Detail oriented.

• Ability to be accurate & timely in a fast paced work environment.

• Ability to work as a team and develop new processes and procedures.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Ability to interact consistently in a professional and positive manner with various internal and

external personnel.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

• Knowledge of export documentation process preferred

• Ability to develop & maintain strong working relationships with vendors, internal departments as

well as customers.

• Flexible approach to change is vital.
