Tooling Engineer positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, MI).  Complete program studies estimating cutting tool needs, related costs, and developing new cost models for inclusion in the BoP for new processes/technologies. Conduct standard machineability testing for work materials, tools and processes. Conduct ergonomic analysis to support tool management activities for new facilities and develop/document standards as needed. Develop new specifications, standards, procedures and guidelines for all new tooling processes. Drive common practices and insure understanding through teaching modules and program support. Create, update and maintain all tooling specifications, standards, procedures and guidelines. Implement standard tool management system in all new Powertrain Plants. Ensure approval of existing tool types, designs and processes. Responsible for development of new tool types, designs and processes for features not currently a part of the established library, or experience base within PTME.
