Robert Half Tax Manager in Dearborn, Michigan

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Manager in Dearborn, Michigan. This role involves leading and managing tax practice operations, delivering quality tax services to clients, and enhancing our firm's reputation. The successful candidate will also act as the primary liaison between the client and our team, ensuring high client satisfaction and expanding our client base.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive tax services in accordance with laws and regulations within specified timeframes

• Foster relationships and interact with clients to provide exceptional planning, consulting, and expertise

• Carry out innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns

• Identify and mitigate tax risks to ensure compliance and accuracy

• Oversee accounting staff, assessing their performance for continuous improvement

• Manage tax provision and tax compliance processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices

• Handle tax audits, coordinating all related activities

• Prepare all tax paperwork regularly and manage all information data requests

• Utilize accounting software systems like ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Sales Tax for efficient and accurate tax processing

• Ensure compliance with all accounting functions and annual income tax provision guidelines

• Manage entity formation processes and auditing activities. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tax Manager or similar role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CaseWare

• Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in preparing Annual Income Tax Provision

• Proven experience in Auditing

• Expertise in Compliance procedures

• Knowledge of Entity Formation processes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)

• CPA or other relevant certification (preferred)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work

• Strong understanding of tax code and laws.
