Ford Core STA is seeking a highly motivated experienced candidates for BEV cell and array manufacturing professional to join our battery team. This team is composed of Technical Experts, Managers, and Manufacturing Engineers who assist the suppliers as they grow with Ford Motor Company
Responsibilities
Risk assessments for new Battery Electrical Vehicle (BEV) program sourcing
New product / technology application readiness assessment
Kick-off APQP in cooperation with external and internal stakeholders
Regular reviews of program readiness status with Ford and / or Tier 1 Management
Work with Ford Product Development Engineering on product design optimization and Special Characteristics identification, including DFMEA, product and process analytical tools simulations reviews, updates of Engineering Specifications (ES) and addressing of potential manufacturing feasibility issues
Special Process Assessments planning and execution at Tier 1 / N (e.g., CQI-9, 15, 23)
Analysis of industrialization plans of Tier 1 / N Suppliers and production capacity planning
Analysis, improvement, and implementation of production quality control / inspection strategies for Special Characteristics
Implementation of Ford Customer Specific Requirements at Tier 1 / N levels
Develop global Lessons Learned and HV Battery manufacturing standards
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science/Engineering or academic equivalent, MBA/MS preferred – Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical
3 - 5 years minimum experience in Automotive and / or Aerospace industries with electrical / electronic background
Solid knowledge of Automotive industry standards and tools (e.g., IATF 16949, APQP, FMEA, CP, SPC, MSA, 8D, 5 Why, AIAG CQI-XX, etc.)
Operational experience with Battery Electrode, Cell, Array and /or Pack manufacturing processes
Project and risks management experience
Practical experience with computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting software
Troubleshooting expertise and attention to detail
Fluent in speaking and writing English language Mandatory, Other languages helpful
Willingness for international travels
